I write this in a state of excitement as Scotland has agreed to change their law to presumed consent, which means that now it is only the UK which doesn’t have the opt-in system.

I realise that I sound like a broken record but there are thousands of people in the UK who have their lives on hold until they can have their transplant – my new thoughts? Possibly a campaign like the ‘Ice Bucket Challenge’ but with people’s pants on their heads… Crazy? Yes. Worth a try? Quite possibly?

Today the Mirror featured another article about a young boy who is also waiting for a heart transplant.
